Camp Rising Hawk and Before School Care are nestled in a beautiful natural space located on the "back 40 acres" of Live & Learn Early Learning Center in Lee, NH. Rising Hawk Afterschool resides on the playground and within the cafeteria of Mast Way Elementary School, a few minutes from our main center. We are a nature based, child-led education center. We spend every available moment outside to enjoy the gifts of the Land and follow our wonder into the forest. All of Rising Hawk's facilities are designed to engage youth in the outdoors in a developmentally appropriate fashion. Camp is open to incoming 1st graders - incoming 5th graders, with a junior counselor program available to returning campers between the ages 12-15. Before School Care and Afterschool are open to children enrolled in Kindergartener through 6th grade.

The mission of Live & Learn Early Learning Center is to educate children intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially by recognizing individual differences, promoting self-esteem, and fostering respect for others. Our child-centered environment encourages dialogue among participants, essential to the active learning process. We strive to develop an educational partnership among family, Live & Learn and community that works together to maximize the potential of each child.

Rising Hawk programs take place with N'dakkina (homeland), the ancestral home and waterways of the Abenaki, Penacook, and Wabanaki Peoples, of today and of the past. We acknowledge these original stewards of N'dakinna with gratitude and respect. We recognize that we live with the unceded lands of these peoples and carry the responsibility of respectfully advocating for the rights of the Indigenous Peoples of our communities. Some of these peoples are lacking federal recognition. The state of New Hampshire does not recognize any Indigenous tribes. We thank the Abenaki, Penacook, and Wabanaki Peoples for always caring for this land and continuing to do so.
