Rules

1. Respect The Community

Litter Free Leonia insists that members must treat every member, non-member, and community space with respect. Please be kind, supportive, and open to everyone's ideas.

2. Participate Actively

Join discussions, events, and clean-ups whenever you can. While volunteering is never mandatory to an extent, if you have nothing better to do with your spare time, you are expected to come. If you cannot attend a volunteering meetup, either put it down on the sign-up sheet in advance or contact a Litter Free Leonia staff member if it's sudden.

2a. Mandatory Meetings

No volunteering meetup will be mandatory. However, Litter Free Leonia requires that members volunteer; otherwise, they will be removed from the group.

If you do not attend any volunteering meetings for one month, you will receive a reminder.

If you do not attend any volunteering meetings for two months, you will receive a warning.

If you do not attend any volunteering meetings for three months, you will be removed from Litter Free Leonia.

Attending a volunteering meeting resets the counter, and this rule does not apply during the summer, as people will be away traveling or with their families.

3. Keep It Clean

Follow Litter Free Leonia's mission: reduce litter, educate others on the environment, and build a better, friendlier Leonia. Do not be a hypocrite if you are a member. Please don't disrespect public spaces, litter, or disrespect others.

4. Stay Safe

Follow basic safety instructions during cleanups. Don't pick up dangerous items (rust, glass, needles, chemicals, etc.), go onto the road, or fool around. You are supposed to clean the environment, not risk an injury.

5. Use The Discord Channels Properly

On the Discord server for Litter Free Leonia, you should keep your conversations in the right channels. Some channels, such as 'General Discussion,' allow you to joke around, talk casually, and discuss unrelated topics. Other channels, such as 'Meeting Plans,' require a higher level of formality and only professional talk.

Regardless of the channel, do not spam, be inappropriate, type extremely rude messages, or swear, including racial slurs.

6. Be Responsible

Take care of any tools or supplies the club provides. Don't break them, don't misuse them, and don't do anything that would put a risk to you or the supplies. Clean up after activities and help others when needed.

7. Have A Positive Attitude

Encourage teamwork and make Litter Free Leonia inclusive and welcoming. Celebrate all and any progress and success, as every victory is a good victory.

8. Check The Weather

Depending on local weather conditions, volunteering meetings may be canceled. We do not want anybody getting hurt as a result of the weather, whether extreme rain, heat, snow, or cold. Make sure that you dress according to the forecast, and if you need a break, do not hesitate to ask.

9. Keep Drama Out

This is Litter Free Leonia, not a social group. Do not spark drama or rapidly insult others within this group. We are a safe space and a volunteering organization. Keep your thoughts to yourself, and don't be rude.

10. Sustain A Positive Environment

Litter Free Leonia asks every member to keep a positive, healthy culture in our group. If somebody is harming the group culture, then we don't ask you to throw insults, which makes it worse. Instead, confront the person directly and ask them to stop. Please be patient with one another. Litter Free Leonia is not just an environmental group, but also a safe space for a healthy community.

If you violate any of these clauses, you may have your membership revoked.
