In this category, you may select a title of your choice to read and include in your literature log. Be sure this is a different author from any other title you have read. You can choose from the YALSA award lists (including the Printz list), the NPR Top 100 Teen Novels list (found in Canvas), the NY Public Library Best Books for Teens (link on Canvas), or a title from the "A"-List. You may also choose from a list of 2025-2026 nominated titles for your state's middle school or young adult book award or titles from the current year's (next year's for summer) Battle of the Books Lists for MS/HS. If you would like to read a title that is not on these lists, please check with the professor first. No specific due date.
