About Me

Kia ora/Hola/Ciao!

I'm a mum of three children, ages 15 to 25.

I'm a Registered Nurse and a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)*. I also hold a graduate diploma in Psychology and a Masters in Public Health, and have completed Women's Psychotherapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) training programmes. I have been supporting families in a variety of environments since 2006 as: A hospital obstetric nurse, a well-child nurse in the community, an educator (antenatal, breastfeeding, fourth trimester, PND, and Circle of Security classes), a trainer for health care providers, and in home visits and clinics in the community.

I experienced mixed success with breastfeeding my three children, as well as Post Natal Depression. I am very passionate about supporting new families struggling with the adjustment to parenthood.

Originally from Mexico, I lived in California, Hawaii, and Italy before moving to NZ in 2011. I speak English, Spanish, Hebrew, and Italian. In my spare time, I love spending time with my children, biking, swimming, and dancing.

*IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is an internationally recognized certification that requires rigorous training and periodic examinations.
