The LinK4All Project is a homegrown initiative of Western Visayas to leverage the coordination and collaboration mechanism of the Regional Development Council to solve the region's road safety challenges.
The Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Region VI and the Iloilo Business Club (IBC) jointly hosted the Ligtas na Kalsada for All (LinK4All) Summit Workshop on August 6 – 7, 2025, bringing together 65 stakeholders from the national government agencies, provincial and highly urbanized city local government units, professional organizations, academia, and youth groups to chart the region’s road safety priorities.
The two-day in-person workshop, held at the DEPDev Regional Office VI, served as a platform to develop the building blocks of the Western Visayas Road Safety Action Plan (WVRSAP) 2026-2028, the country’s first subnational action plan on road safety outside Metro Manila.
The three-day summit featured panelists from local, regional, national, and international organizations representing academia, professional organizations, government, non-government organizations, and youth sector. Six panel discussions focused on the safe systems approach and road crash data.
Western Visayas is making a bold mark on the global road safety map with the online launching of the Ligtas na Kalsada for All (LinK4All) x Youth for Road Safety (YOURS) Academy training program on June 17, 2025.
