Conduct an awareness activity which provides an informed discussion on road safety, interventions which have results, and localized context of challenges to stakeholders who will serve as formulators of the plan.

Share the knowledge and experience to capacitate other regions

Develop one manual or guidelines that will aid the replicability of the formulation of the subnational road safety action plan to other regions in the Philippines as well as lower middle income countries.

Craft a medium-term plan with the local context in mind

Develop one comprehensive road safety action plan that will put forward priority action points for the region for the period of three years.

The EPIC Cycle for Road Safety Action

Stage 1: Educate and Inform

This stage is the unique feature of the road safety action planning process where plan formulators undergo training to understand the concept of road safety leadership and stewardship.

Stage 2: Plan and Program

This stage involves formulating the plan and preparing the investment program.

Stage 3: Implement

This stage is where the plan turns into action. For initiatives requiring financial resources, agencies will receive policy support from the RDC during their budget discussions held in the first quarter of the year.
