I am currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the School of Engineering at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
My research focuses on Control and Automation for Medical Robots, with a special interest in Haptics and Teleoperation Control, Non-linear Control, Medical Imaging, Robot Vision, and Multi-robot Systems.
I received my Doctoral degree in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada in 09/2019 with a thesis titled "Control of Teleoperation Systems for Beating-Heart Surgery".
I received my B.Eng and M.Eng degrees in Vehicle Engineering and Safety Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
