Mixed Gender League (Winter)

Welcome to Lincoln lynx Mixed Gender Ultimate!

Winter season gives players a fantastic opportunity to play on a team with both Gx and Bx players. This season is held mid-November to mid-February with games once a week on Saturday or Sunday. We often have three teams (Varsity, JV, and JVC). Depending on who comes to tryouts, we might have cuts for Bx players to keep a good ratio of Bx and Gx players. We generally have room for all Gx players who want to play (i.e. it is very likely that Gx players will not be cut). We follow the DiscNW Gender Inclusion policy that you can read here. 

If you would like to try out for the Winter 2024-2025 Mixed season, please check our website in late Fall. 

Our coaches: Our terrific coaches are Stan Birdsong, Souma Yabuki, Geoff Coco, Bil Elsinger, Julia Nash, Dave Iannotti, Kelly Tyler and Austin Lawhorn.

Our season:

October/November: registration opens, let us know you're interested via the interest form when available. Please do not sign up with DiscNW until after tryouts when teams are set. 

Mid-November: Tryouts and practices begin. Typically, practices are 3 days/week for Varsity, possibly fewer for JV and JVC

December: Games begin, 8-9 games for the regular season, held on Saturdays or Sundays. 

Mid-February: League playoffs

Mid-April: Spring Reign Tournament

Locations: Many practices will be held at Lower Woodland Park after school, but it is difficult to get fields, so locations will vary.

Games: Games are held Saturdays and Sundays at locations throughout Seattle. DiscNW schedules the games.

Fees: Because we are a club sport parents cover all expenses. Fees include coaching stipends, fields with lights, equipment, etc. Amount is TBD, depending on many variables including # of players. Scholarships are available.
