News Flash! In our first season as a LHS Gx Club team, Spring 2022, we placed 2nd at Nationals!  Let's Go!        

What Does Gx Mean? Gx means that the season is open to female and non-binary players. The term Gx has replaced girls to be more inclusive of all of our players. It is pronounced by saying the letters "G" and then "X".

Coaches: Maddy Stephenson, Stan Birdsong, Souma Yabuki, Charlie Eide.

Both coaches currently play Seattle Women's club and have a long history in the sport. They have experience coaching youth club and high school as well. Maddy Stephenson currently plays for Seattle Underground (club) and Charlie Eide currently captains and plays for Seattle Riot (club).

All players interested in the Spring 2024 team must fill out the interest form in order to receive future updates and information regarding the spring season. This includes all returners, and anybody even considering trying out. Please only fill the form out one time. 

Practices will be held on varying days each week, so please take careful note of different days/times.  Our goal is to be playing 5 times midweek (3 days of practice and 2 games a week).  We will share these as soon as the schedule is finalized. These fields are hard to attain in the Spring. Practices are often at BF Day play field, Lower Woodland and some Greenlake fields.

For Spring 2022, Feb 28th began Gx tryouts/first practice

Games: The Spring Season Schedule is typically:

• Mid-March - midweek games begin 

• Late April - Seattle Girls Invite at Skagit River Park in Burlington

• Late April - JV Jamboree at Skagit River Park in Burlington

• Mid to late May - Season quarters, semis and finals

Other Info: Keep in mind that players might occasionally have to leave class early to make warmups on time. 

We may need additional parent assistance this season, especially if there is any fundraising and or a possible tournament that the players/coaches want to attend.

Uniforms: Players need one red or black jersey and one white jersey. Plus field cleats.

Teams: For Spring 2022  we fielded a Varsity and JV team. As Lincoln HS grows, we could add an additional team.

Fees: Because we are a club sport parents cover all expenses, though assistance could be available. Fees include coaching stipends, fields, equipment, jerseys, financial aid. Spring '22 fees amount is TBD, depending on many variables including number of players.
