This video will provide an introduction to the process of my Independent Study. I include it primarily for myself to look back on the evolution of my ideas, and also to keep my parents updated with my work. The chaotic visuals of the video aptly record the chaos of my thought process as I have worked on the project. They also, I hope, reveal the excitement I have felt as things have begun to come together.
On the road, taking a pit stop in Virginia. I wanted to do some work on my I.S., but you can tell how much work I actually got done while watching the video. Nevertheless, I still have a week and a half to reach my end-of-the-summer goals! The writing and research are going to be the worst part for me, but we live life. Maybe I will be able to do more work in Chicago.
Back at the college! I am still trying to hit my goal of getting my puppets designed now... I don't have as much paper as I thought so I can't try out different ideas indiscriminately and then scrap what doesn't work. I am also just trying to get some words on paper, getting at least 20 (rough) pages is the goal before classes start.
I have started making some puppets! Classes are starting today so didn't hit my goal, but I am getting a lot of work done and figuring out how my schedule will look for the semester with classes, I.S., working, and clubs.
Working on the timing and layout of the show! I am in Wise Studio, I have most of my puppets made, and I am figuring out the time sheet for the production.
I am now figuring out more of the digital aspect today because my team is busy. I was able to get the camcorder and Rode speaker to work and figuring out uploading and stabilizing. Also, some updates on how the production process is going.
Here is a catch up of the work that has been done by my designers for the last week. The set is coming together and the sound is starting to get layered together.
Recordings of me recording my shadow puppets. It was a three day process and I still have to edit the four videos to be projected onto the walls. But I am moving forward in my production!
A behind-the-scenes with Atlas! It's the most chaotic video to date. We are finalizing the set and lighting design!
2 Days until opening night! I'm still working on video editing, but I'm starting to get stressed out.
Who needs tech week, when you could have tech day? We were cranking out work today, my designers, advisor, and some other friends.
Opening Night!
Closing Night!
What I am doing post-performance (don't worry still have a lot of I.S. to do).
