Reflection Desires: An Immersive Myth is an immersive shadow puppet production of the Greek myth Narcissus and Echo, allowing the audience to interact and decide what they want to focus on during the projected performance. The show will feature a pre-recorded puppetry performance projected onto the studio walls. One of the walls is covered with mirrors, reflecting the audience's image to emphasize Narcissus's theme of reflection and what people see.
This performance includes intense scenes with harsh lighting and depictions of death. Viewer discretion is advised.
The story is about the Greek Myth Echo and Narcissus
Immersive theatre (for me): being able to wander around the space and choose what to focus on during the performance
I want to highlight all my designers, scenic, lighting, and sound

You can interact with the props, but please no not pull or yank on anything
Echo was a beautiful nymph with a charming voice, but she had been cursed by the goddess Hera. Because Echo had distracted Hera with conversation to help other nymphs escape, Hera punished her by taking away her ability to speak, except to repeat the last words spoken by others.
One day, Echo saw the handsome young Narcissus and fell deeply in love. However, because of her curse, she could not speak directly to him. When she tried to reveal herself, Narcissus cruelly rejected her, leaving her heartbroken. She wasted away until only her voice remained, forever repeating the words of others.
Meanwhile, Narcissus, who was extraordinarily beautiful, became enamored with his own reflection when he saw it in a pool of water. He fell in love with his reflection, not realizing it was just an image. Unable to leave the sight of his own beauty, he eventually wasted away, consumed by unrequited love for himself. In the end, he transformed into a flower, the narcissus, which still bears his name.
This myth reflects themes of self-obsession, the pain of unreturned love, and the consequences of vanity.
