Super Star Shakira

Star’s Little Superstar 🌟

Star × Teddy | Born October 13, 2026

One Tiny Kitten, One Big Surprise!

On October 13, 2026, our beautiful queen Star welcomed a very special little girl into the world. But her birth story turned out to be quite the surprise!

At 2:45 PM, Star delivered her first kitten naturally and without any complications. We were especially relieved because her previous litter had required a C-section. Everything went beautifully, and Star immediately settled into caring for her new baby.

But then… nothing.

One hour passed, then two, then three. Star was completely relaxed, happily nursing her kitten, and showing no signs of further contractions.

The only problem? We were absolutely convinced she had more kittens coming!

Star had grown so big during her pregnancy that we expected a much larger litter. As the evening went on, we became increasingly concerned that her labor had stalled. With her history of a C-section, we didn’t want to take any chances.

By around 7–8 PM, we decided to take Star to the veterinarian for an X-ray, fully preparing ourselves for the possibility that she might need another surgery.

And that’s when we received the biggest surprise of all…

There were no more kittens!

Star had delivered her one and only baby hours earlier, and she’d been perfectly content ever since! We were shocked, incredibly relieved, and couldn’t believe that her big pregnant belly had been carrying just one tiny kitten.

Introducing Shakira 🌟

Star’s wonderful guardian family chose the name Shakira, continuing the star-inspired theme from her previous litter, Star’s Constellations. Only this time, instead of a constellation, they chose a celebrity superstar!

And what a fitting name for a little girl who gets to be the star of the show all on her own.

Shakira is an absolutely gorgeous blue cream silver tortie Siberian, with a beautiful combination of soft, cool-toned colors. We’re already so excited to watch her coat and coloring develop as she grows.

As a singleton kitten, Shakira has all of her mama’s attention and plenty of milk to herself. She’s also fortunate to have Mochi, another one of our beautiful Siberians who shares Star’s guardian home, keeping a watchful eye on her.

A Special Future for Shakira

This little girl may have been an unexpected surprise, but she could also become a very special part of the future of Lil Star Siberians.

With Star expected to retire from our breeding program this year, we are strongly considering keeping Shakira as a future queen, allowing us to continue Star’s beautiful bloodline for another generation.

Of course, we’ll be watching Shakira’s development closely as she grows and making sure she meets all of our health, temperament, and breeding standards before making that decision.

Star has been such a special part of our program, and the possibility of carrying on her legacy through her daughter makes Shakira’s arrival even more meaningful.

Sometimes the smallest litters bring the biggest surprises, and we couldn’t be more grateful that Star and her beautiful little girl are both doing wonderfully.

Welcome to the world, Shakira! 💕
