In most cases, preschool programs are for children between the ages of three and five years old. They are frequently only open during the school year and only for a portion of the day. Many states provide free or low-cost prekindergarten programs, which are also known as preschool programs, to children in need.
Many organizations, including schools, places of worship, nonprofit organizations, and child care centers, provide preschool programs. These programs may or may not be required to be licensed in your state, depending on the rules in effect at the time. Licensed programs are required to adhere to a set of fundamental health and safety standards, and they are closely scrutinized to ensure that they are meeting these standards.
This stage is all about self-expression, as children begin to form their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create as they grow older. Throughout the day in our preschool classroom, your child will experiment with science, create artwork, and engage in imaginative play—all of which will prepare them for their next big step: kindergarten!
For your preschooler, our incredible teachers are here to provide the safest environment possible as well as an inspiring learning environment. Through hands-on learning and playtime, your child will gain proficiency in language, mathematics, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Increasing brain power while also building physical strength
Preschoolers begin to conduct science experiments and learn the fundamentals of mathematics. This assists them in developing their critical thinking abilities, as well as their memory and concentration. They stay healthy by engaging in physical activity outside, hopping and dancing inside, and learning about nutritious food.
Making friends and expressing one's feelings are important.
Children in our classroom are constantly honing their existing skills, which includes those required for making friends and expressing their feelings to others. We assist preschoolers in expressing their feelings, teaching them how to resolve conflicts, and assisting them in making new friends.
Reading books and learning to write are two important activities.
Preschoolers are prepared for kindergarten by reading a large number of books, identifying rhyming words, and engaging in creative writing. Singing songs and playing games with them helps them notice words that sound similar.
Making art and pretending are two of my favorite things to do.
They will gain a great deal of self-confidence as a result of their artistic expression, which may include painting, drama, music, storytelling, and writing. We provide them with the tools they need to create and then sit back and watch them experiment. Teachers are always on hand to offer words of encouragement as well!
We also offer before and after school programs for Kenmore Elementary.
