What Is Appropriate Attire at MUN?

Delegates are expected to wear Western Business Attire throughout all committee sessions. This includes a blazer with a collared dress shirt, tie or blouse, dress pants or a professional skirt, and dress shoes. Outfits should be polished, modest, and aligned with the standards of international diplomacy.

Why does the Dress Code Matter?

Professional attire is an essential part of Model UN, because it reflects yourself, delegation and school while participating at a Model UN conference. Additionally by following the dress code and wearing Western Business Attire you demonstrate to your peers and chairs professionalism and confidence while representing the country you represent during your conference with respect.
