Honored Delegates and Advisors,

It’s my pleasure and privilege to invite you to LightMUN II, at Lightridge High School on April 10-11th, 2026. 

My name is Rohan Bhandarkar, Secretary-General of LightMUN II. Being a part of this club for the past three years, I’ve developed professional problem-solving skills and leadership qualities that will contribute to my career after high-school. 

In the months leading up to this conference, the LightMUN Secretariat has been working diligently to form a creative and interactive weekend that will truly challenge delegates. Our committees travel across the world, ranging from the Village of Ninjago, to our offices of the status of women and human rights council. You’ll meet characters from Power Rangers, heroic and evil, and from Disney’s highest royalty! With the multitude of four general assemblies, four special assemblies, and two crisis committees, delegates will be able to explore the Magic of Diplomacy!

LightMUN II’s theme of the Magic of Diplomacy highlights valuing peace-building over competition. Using collaborative negotiating and in depth research, we hope that you and your fellow delegates create comprehensive solutions that are constructed to realistically apply the laws of the world. Over the past years, Model UN has been more than a debate club for me. Through MUN, I’ve met some of the most intellectual individuals across Virginia, all passionate about specific world issues that they wish to contribute to solving in the future. I hope that concluding LightMUN II, you too will have met delegates that share interests towards you that can lead to diplomatic solutions for an advanced future.
