This looks like:
making memorable speeches which communicate specific and knowledgeable ideas
empowering other delegations to contribute their skills to the team effort
demonstrating a depth of knowledge of the subject and introducing thoughtful of the solutions
exhibiting behaviors which are in line with the United Nation's mission of Peace, Dignity, and Equality
in a crisis committee: using private and public directives to advance plot and debate
The Peacebuilding award is to honor a young person who demonstrates exemplary character through inclusiveness, positivity, and generosity.
This looks like:
Noticing when individuals are struggling to be heard, and making sure their voice is included in conversations
Being a friend to others, both in and outside of the official committee session
Consistently using a tone that conveys acceptance and kindness
Regardless of their role in the committee, they treat teammates as partners and not subordinates
