The Career Journal!

Engineer is a broad job title to describe a large number of different types of engineers. When someone tells you that they're an engineer, take some time to ask them what type of engineering they do or what industry they're involved in! There's mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, and so many more with different job titles, descriptions, and impacts on the world.

This career journal is a chance to discover the different types that exist before you go into it to see if you're interested in it. You may even find that you weren't interested in engineering before, but a specific type of engineering intrigued you more.

The Journal

The journal will be kept on a Google Slides presentation and will be set up in a notebook format with a table of contents that links to each career to make it easy to access! Instructions on what should be included are provided on the slides template.

Creating and Uploading Your Journal

Open the career journal template
Click on the settings icon after it opens
Click on "Open Editor"
Click on "File" --> "Make a Copy"
Click on "Share" and share it with dlieu@stem-prep.org
