What is Child Development Liberia?

A Brief History

Peninsula Bible Church Cupertino has been connected with Liberia for over 20 years, and started partnering with these schools in 2011. Over the years the partnership has changed and developed into Child Development Liberia (CDL) today. At the heart of CDL, is Robert Sondah, a local Liberian passionate about providing children with an education and exposing them to the transformative love of God. Robert has set the vision for CDL and worked hard to build a solid team of teachers and supporters to reach the children in the school communities.

What Do We Do

CDL has two schools located in Paynesville, Liberia that are in the middle of very materially poor communities. The schools provide for the needs of the whole child - educational, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual.

Quality Education

Children from preschool to high school receive an education from teachers who truly care about their students.

Nutritious Meals

Every student receives a nutritious meal each day.

Spiritual Growth

Students experience God's love through Bible lessons and worshipping together.

Clean Water

Each campus has clean drinking water that is available to students and the surrounding community.

Your Impact

Your donations and purchases make a direct impact on the lives of our friends in Liberia. Proceeds from the craft fair in past years have gone towards a new school building for the Omega Community School.

The money from this year's craft fair will go towards finishing the school building. Here are the upcoming projects:
