The purpose of this site is to showcase my body of work that I created during the 2023 fall semester in English 102 at Coastal Carolina University. This year I gained all sorts of new knowledge and skills when it comes to synthesizing an academic paper or project. I have become a much better writer in this class through process writing, which is a way of writing something in different parts and combining them all at the end. This really allows me to write more freely and concisely. I no longer feel the mountain of a 1000 page paper looming over my head. I now am equipped to write my papers using a process that adds different elements together to make one singular piece of work.
Throughout the semester the class was tasked to complete a series of "badges". These badges introduce a new or unfamiliar skill that will aid in reading comprehension or gaining better writing skills. I enjoyed these very much, because they always made a lot of sense to me and taught me skills that I know I am going to use for the rest of my life.
