CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Mar. 25 โ The DILG - 10, together with partner agencies, opened the two-day KP Handbook Refinement and Completion Meeting with a focused review and consolidation of outputs aimed at finalizing the Enhanced Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) Handbook and Training Manual.
Iligan City Director Maria Maida Daniot, representing Regional Director Bruce A. Colao, formally opened the program. She underscored the importance of the activity and noted that the effort will further advance effective and accessible justice at the barangay level.
โWe come together with a shared vision that through the effective implementation of enhanced handbook and training manual, we help strengthen Katarungang Pambarangay, which will guide our localities in resolving conflicts through proper and lawful channels, and better equip our barangay officials with practical tools to serve their communities,โ she said.

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Mar. 24 โ In preparation for the 2026 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA), the DILG-10 conducted a Levelling-Off Meeting with members of the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (RIMTF), LGU focal persons, and DILG field officers via the Zoom platform.
The activity aimed to ensure a common understanding of the updated guidelines, indicators, assessment tools, and timelines for the 2026 CFLGA, as well as to orient participants on the use of the Knowledge Management System (KMS), which will support a more efficient and streamlined implementation of the audit.

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Mar. 24 โ In line with strengthening the technical capacity of personnel in local governance processes, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)โ10, through the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), conducted a learning session under its knowledge-sharing initiative, โiShare.โ The activity featured an orientation by Assistant Division Chief LGOO Liza Ladres on the CY 2026โ2028 Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan Formulation and navigation on the POPS PlanโPolicy Compliance Monitoring System (POPSP-PCMS).
The session provided a comprehensive overview of the POPS Plan as a three-year, term-based plan of local government units, highlighting its key focus areas on peace and order and public safety. It emphasized the importance of identifying priority issues such as crime and disorder, conflict, threats to human security, and public safety concerns, as well as aligning local strategies, programs, and activities to address these challenges effectively.

DILG 10 preps LGUs, field officers on 2026 ADAC Performance Audit
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Mar. 19 โ In preparation for the 2026 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit, DILG-10 held the ADAC Levelling-Off with LGU ADAC Focal Persons and DILG Field Officers via Zoom platform.
The activity revisited the CY 2025 ADAC Performance Audit results, discussed the CY 2026 indicators, and ensured that LGUs and DILG field offices share a common understanding of the requirements moving forward.
The opening message of Regional Director Bruce A. Colao, CESO V was delivered by LGMED Assistant Division Chief Liza Ladres, who conveyed RD's appreciation to LGUs and field officers for their continued support in implementing anti-drug initiatives. He emphasized that the work of ADACs strengthens community-based responses against illegal drugs.

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Mar. 17 - The Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) Functionality Assessment is a national initiative designed to measure the performance and effectiveness of BADACs in addressing illegal drug concerns at the barangay level. It is created under the mandate of the Dangerous Drugs Board and supported by the Department of the Interior and Local Government. BADACs act as the primary mechanism in implementing community-based actions against illegal drugs.
The department ensures that through this assessment the barangays are actively implementing programs, projects, and activities that strengthen local anti-drug efforts and help promote safer and drug-free communities.
