Boys and Girls JV Final - Tuesday, April 25th (@LGHS) We host which means that we run the meet; desk, announcing, snacks and drinks, programs, etc. are all our responsiblility. We should have help though from our friends around the league; LA usually does the programs, MV brings a couple big water-coolers, we can find another team to help with food and anything else we might need to run a "top-notch" meet for our last JV/F-S level diving event; this determines the LEAGUE CHAMPION!!! Paige and Landen from Homestead were last-year's Boys and Girls Champions... they are both diving Varsity so the competition is wide open... and we have a team that could go 1-2-3 in the Girls event!!!
Boys and Girls Varsity Final - Thursday, April 27th, @ Monta Vista HS. Get ready for a long meet; 11-dives (5 Vol, 6 Opt.) and a BUNCH of divers! Should be good competition, which brings out the best in all divers!
Transportation and Release time; TBD
Our diving finals day competitions (either JV and Varsity or Girls and Boys, however we end up splitting up the numbers) are LONG!!! A quick calculation I do; 1-2hr Warm-up + (#divers X #dives) + 20-40 mins (in-meet warmups, after the 5th round {and 8th for Varsity}) = meet-length, usually between 4 and 6 hours total!!! It is a test of both our physical and mental endurance... be prepared!
