Friends of the Hall
Hello friends.
The canola is blooming, and the countryside looks fantastic. Hope you are as well.
A lot is going on at the Lexton Hall. Apologies for this longish e-newsletter.
Our Hall relies on volunteers and friends who provide their time and services. Big "shout out" to Russell Broadbent from "Top of the Trees (wood chipping, etc. 0418 537 792). Thank you for removing a fallen tree.
The Lexton Lounge (formerly supper room) has additional power points and an air conditioner is installed. Also, additional points for a digital display of the Lexton (Then & Now) Photo display, to the right of the servery, are in place. More upgrades are in the pipeline.
Is a program of BIG events featuring live bands. This month we invite you to come along and "shake a tail feather" at the Blues Brothers Rock on Event on Sat. Sept 19. Are you brave enough to "dress up"? You know you want to! Simple. Black hat & jacket, tie, sunglasses, plus white shirt. Hope to see and meet you there.
with you.

"Friends of the Hall"
Hello there.
Recently, Rob or Terry shared with you their passion for reviving our Community Hall and making it the "centerpiece" of activities in and around Lexton.
Previous Committees have worked so hard to restore the Hall (new flooring, catering facilities, exterior cladding, upgraded toilets, and blinds). Shall we reward their efforts by participating?
Did you know that our Hall was originally a school? It was transported in 1899 from Doctor's Creek. In the past, it was used for roller skating, carnivals, Moving Picture shows, Minstrel shows, Balls, and at one time it was an Infant Welfare Centre.
The current Committee aims to broaden the use of the Hall to provide a range of activities and services, that we hope, will bring the Community together and make lasting memories for us all. The Hall is for ALL of us to enjoy. It might be for a birthday party or a rock'n roll night.
DROP IN & CHILL with community friends and neighbours. July music theme = The Seekers & British Hits of the 60's and 70's. More info?
ROCK the HALL on Sat. Sept. 19. Blues Brothers theme & Rock'n Roll. More Info?
