Introduction to Digital Photography Studio
Ranging from documentary to staged photography, students were given the freedom to create the parameters of their final projects. After learning about staged photography, I used a combination of techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop. My goal was to create a journey through a fantasy world through the lens of my personal experiences. Taking photos between Denver and Laramie, Wyoming, I utilized layer masks and blending modes, artificially creating multiple exposure photographs in Photoshop. In Lightroom, I tweaked aspects like exposure and color to create a world filled with vibrant and dreamy landscapes.
Introduction to Digital Photography Studio
This module of my digital photography class was centered on composite and staged photography. Students learned to utilize the selection tool in Photoshop to create images like the one below. In addition to digital tools, I set up my Sony alpha 300 on a tripod for consistency, which allowed me to synthesize several shots into one cohesive composition. This project taught me a new approach to photography that has many applications.
