After studying abroad in Nagasaki, Japan during the spring-summer of 2017, I developed a strong passion for both Japanese and international cultures. These passions have reflected themselves in my career path. I have worked as a freelance Japanese tutor through Wyzant.com and was the president of the Japanese Cultural Exchange at the University of Denver. I was a leader within the Japanese minor program at this university and facilitated the furtherment of Japanese language and cultural education among the student body.

As an aspiring digital designer, I aim to find a position as a UI/UX Designer or Graphic Designer at a company that values teamwork and promotes growth. Company culture is extremely important to me, and I thrive in diverse environments. During my time at WorldRemit, I was a Japanese Language Specialist working alongside many Spanish and French speakers as well as leading international offices in the Philippines, Peru, South Africa, and the UK. As a subject matter expert, I made videos that trained these foreign teams to improve their understanding of customer service protocol. The Peruvian team entered the company during my tenure, and I was instrumental in developing their exceptional performance as an overseas office.

During my time at WorldRemit, I gained invaluable experience with the CRM software SalesForce. Additionally, I have worked with payment platforms such as CyberSource and Adyen. Learning new software comes quite naturally to me. I also have experience working remotely from March 2020 to March 2021, both as a Japanese Language Specialist and Subject Matter Expert.

I love utilizing Adobe Creative Apps and have spent many hours working with Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator for work-related, personal, and university projects. I have experience creating original designs for small businesses, commissioned work for individuals, have done professional video editing, and am an expert in graphic design.
