We're progressing on the Memory Garden project, making good progress before winter sets in.
The scrub cedar trees on the south boundary of the cemetery have been removed. Thanks to Dennis Schuster for arranging the equipment needed and Jackie Hippen and Dr. Keith Shuey for cleaning up the debris field of cedar branches. One fewer group of cedars distributing seeds to Nebraska pastures!
Construction of the pergola is done as the pictures show below. The pergola is just north of the small directory shelter on the west fence line of the cemetery. John Hippen built the pergola and also moved the dirt pile that was in the northeast corner of the cemetery.
The next step, if our weather holds, is to pour the concrete and place pavers. See another post on the website on how you can contribute to the Memory Garden and memorialize your loved ones.
