Playing an instrument in an ensemble is the epitome of multitasking. Most beginning band method books unfortunately overly embrace this idea by cramming multiple concepts into one lesson, causing confusion.
Your beginning band students will benefit more from:

The "Basic Skills Builder" line of worksheets are designed to to be stand-alone supplemental exercises to the "Let's Play In Band" method series. The isolation and sequential development of new concepts in these worksheets eliminates the confusion caused by layering multiple new concepts into one exercise.
