About Let's Play In Band!

The Let's Play In Band method series is all about variety and options. Commercially published method books are bound by page number restrictions, while trying to cram as much material in as possible. While trying to cram that material in, often times new concepts are layered together too quickly. Maybe you want to focus on eighth notes with your band, but the method book you use adds dynamics and woodwind low notes immediately after introducing eighth notes. The impact of the eighth note introduction has been instantly diminished by your trumpets who think forte means to blast as loud as possible, and your flutes who are flustered that they can't hear themselves play their low G. Meanwhile, nobody is really focusing on the task at hand: counting eighth notes.

With the LPIB method series, instructors have a nearly endless supply of isolated materials to use with their students. Topics are introduced initially without the complexity of overlapping concepts. The majority of LPIB materials are structured to start very easy, but progress to challenge even your best players. If you have an administrator asking you how you're going to differentiate for your students of varying abilities, this method series is the perfect solution. If you're looking for suitable playing test materials, nearly every product in the series includes cumulative examples that are designed for a quick summative assessment.

It's obviously quite impractical to attempt to make use of every single example in this series. There's simply too much material.
