GOAL ORIENTED ACTIVE LEARNER

The GOAL project overview

Interest in data driven decision making has been growing in recent years, leading to growth in big data collection and analysis in both academic and non-academic contexts. As a result, harnessing the power of big data has become an important topic for research and discussion both in the domain of education and personal healthcare. Little scholarship has focused on taking an integrated look on the data from both the domain and support self directed learning lifestyle of students. This research study aims to assist students in balancing their physical and learning activity goals by collecting, processing and visualizing their data. The results from this study can be used to support the application design for visualizing health and learning activity data and develop theoretical understanding of how it can support self directed learning lifestyle for students.
