Here are some sustainable beverage types and containers for your beverages.
Hydroflask
Impact: Donates to charitable causes, replaces waste
Overview: Hydroflask is a company that sells water bottles made out of stainless steel, according to its website. Hydroflask also founded a charity called Parks for All.
Bigelow
Impact: B Corporation, Fair Trade, Ethical Tea Partnership, uses eco-friendly materials, Zero Landfill Company
Overview: Bigelow makes many delicious types of tea with recycleable packaging and fair labor. Some of my favorites include their Oolong tea, Green tea, and Vanilla Chai.
HIP with Purpose
Impact: Uses eco friendly materials, replaces waste
Overview: HIP with Purpose sells reusable cutlery and water bottles using eco friendly materials. Personally, I would recommend their silicon straws.
Stash
Impact: B Corporation, recycleable packaging
Overview: As a B Corporation, Stash makes tea with recycleable packaging.
Soda Stream
Impact: Reduces plastic waste, reusable product, reuses packaging when returned
Overview: Soda Stream carboates water without the waste from plastic bottles. The sparkling water tastes the same as from a bottle, but is much better for the environment.
Things to look for:
Look for companies that are B Corporations, which means they meet strict standards in environment, trustworthiness to consumers, and labor, according to the B Corp website. In addition, looking for recyclable packaging and materials is important.
