Hometown:
Bawlf, AB
Playing Experience / Position / Highlights:
Played with the SEEBA Cardinals from 2014 to 2016, where I was part of a team that won Baseball Alberta Provincials. Continued my playing career with Prairie Baseball Academy, gaining experience in a strong competitive program and continuing to develop my understanding of the game at a higher level.
Coaching Experience:
Following my playing career, I moved to Lloydminster, Alberta and began coaching with Bulldogs Baseball Academy as well as Lloydminster Minor Baseball. I spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the 18U AAA team, followed by two seasons as a head coach. In my first year as head coach, I led at the AAA level, and in my second year I coached at the BAEL level. I also currently coach with the Prairie Baseball Academy JV program. My coaching experience has allowed me to work with players at multiple stages of development while emphasizing skill growth, accountability, and strong team culture.
Personal / Family / Hobbies:
Baseball has always been a major part of my life both on and off the field. I come from a baseball family, with my brother also coaching at a high level, including experience with Prairie Baseball Academy, the Lethbridge Longhorns, the Lethbridge Bulls, and now the Saskatoon Berries high school academy and WCBL program. Outside of baseball, I keep things fairly simple, as most of my time and interests are still centered around the game.
Favourite MLB Player/Team:
Toronto Blue Jays
Shohei Ohtani
Additional Information:
I am passionate about helping players improve, compete, and grow through baseball. My goal as a coach is to create an environment where athletes are pushed to develop their skills, think the game at a higher level, and represent their program the right way. I also believe baseball can teach lessons that go far beyond the field, including accountability, discipline, resilience, teamwork, and how to handle adversity. I want players to leave the program not only as better baseball players, but as better young men who are more prepared for life outside the game.
