Hello and welcome to my website on military graffiti. 

My name is Patrice Machin, a local history enthusiast, and I travel through the villages of Pas-de-Calais looking for names and graffiti left by Commonwealth soldiers on the walls of churches, farms, houses, or underground during World War I. 

My goal is to pay tribute to these soldiers by identifying them, tracing their paths, and sometimes putting a face to them. 

Follow me as we follow in the footsteps of the past... 

May the sacrifice of these young soldiers not be in vain, and let's do everything we can to preserve their memory.

Bonjour et bienvenue sur mon site sur les graffitis militaires. 

Je m'appelle Patrice Machin, passionné d'histoire locale, je sillonne les villages du Pas-de-Calais à la recherche de noms et de graffitis laissés par les soldats du Commonwealth sur les murs d'églises, de fermes, de maisons ou sous terre pendant la Première Guerre mondiale. 

Mon but est de rendre hommage à ces soldats en les identifiants, en retraçant leurs parcours, et mettant un visage sur un nom. 

Suivez-moi sur les traces du passé... 

Que le sacrifice de ces jeunes soldats ne soit pas vain et faisons tout pour préserver leur mémoire.
