To make your arrival and departure as smooth as possible, this booklet contains some useful information about how the cottage operates.
⚠️ Landscaping work around the terrace has not yet been completed. Please take extra care, especially when using the pedestrian access path to the property, as there are still some potholes.
A large shade sail will be installed at the end of July.
Parking
You may park up to two vehicles under the covered parking area.
⚠️ Maximum vehicle height: 3 m (9 ft 10 in).
Please replace the gate retaining bar after closing the gate each time.
Check-in
Check-in: From 5:00 p.m.
Check-out: By 11:00 a.m.
Key safe: It is located on the back of the small wooden post beside the mailbox. The access code will be provided to you before your arrival.
The cottage is located at the end of the garden. Please follow the gravel path to the left of the house to reach the property.

Bathroom
Sink Overflow
⚠️ The sink overflow has not yet been connected to the drain.
Please do not fill the sink to the level of the overflow, as this may cause water to leak.
Illuminated Anti-Fog Mirror
The mirror is equipped with a motion sensor.
After switching on the wall switch to the left of the sink, simply wave your hand beneath the mirror to turn the light and anti-fog function on or off.
Hard Water
The water in Montreuil-Bellay is particularly hard (high in limescale). To help prevent limescale build-up on the shower walls, a squeegee is provided for your convenience.
Kitchen
Wooden Cabinet
Please make sure all dishes are completely dry before putting them away in the untreated wooden cabinet.This helps prevent natural wood tannins from bleeding into the surface.
Soap Dispenser
Simply press straight down on the round pump head to dispense soap. Please do not press on the stem, as this may damage the dispenser.
Induction Hob
Please do not use abrasive sponges to clean the induction hob.
A specialist cleaning cream for induction hobs is provided for your use.
Laundry Room
Washing Machine
To keep the washing machine in good condition and ensure the best washing performance:
Do not overload the drum.
Use the recommended amount of detergent.
Leave the door slightly ajar after use to allow the drum to dry.
⚠️ In rare cases, the washing machine door may remain locked at the end of a cycle. If this happens, simply unplug the machine for a few seconds, then plug it back in. The door should unlock normally.

Before you leave, thank you for:
Leaving the gîte in a similar state of cleanliness to when you arrived
Placing sheets and towels in the linen basket
Closing the windows (skylights) and locking both doors
Turning off the lights (especially the anti-fog mirror light)
Turning off the air conditioning or setting it to 26-27°C
Closing the small gate and the main gate
Putting the keys back in the key box, closing it securely, and scrambling the code by scrolling the numbers
