To create your notecards, either select the tab for NOTECARDS or from your SOURCE list in noodletools, click on "new" in the notecard column for each source
Enter a direct quote, paraphrased information, and/or your own ideas in the notecard
Title the notecard
Include the source and any page numbers
ORGANIZE NOTECARDS
create tags (by color or "manage tags" and create your topics)
can create "piles" of notecards
move around the notecards to help visually organize your content
Click on "PRINT" to export your notecards to Google docs to submit
Noodletools - to create the OUTLINE
To create an outline in noodletools, click on the NOTECARDS tab
Enter the topics and subtopics for your outline
You can drag notecards to each item on your outline to help with organization
Click on "PRINT" and select OUTLINE to export your outline to Google docs to submit
NOTECARDS are one option for taking notes from your research for a paper or project.
Steps:
For every source (article, website, etc) that you find, create the full citation and copy the full citation into a Works Cited list -- you MUST have the full citation FIRST before you start taking notes
Get a notecard and write a fact (direct quote or paraphrase) from a source - only 1 fact per card
At the top of the notecard, write the in-text citation for that fact

GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS with Microsoft Word
Open Microsoft WORD
Click on INSERT
Click on SMART ART
Select the type of chart/graphic organizer you would like to use
Click on "ok"
The graphic organizer will be embedded into your word document. Type over the "text" boxes with your own information.
