Noodletools
Cite all sources - You must provide a full MLA citation for all the sources you use for your research, including all websites, database articles, books, images, videos, and audio.

TO SIGN IN: Click on the SCHOOL/UNIVERSITY ACCOUNT tab and log in with your school email and the password you set for Noodletools
To create an account:
Click on REGISTER
For school/library info, use:
username: lenapemediacenter
password: noodletools1
Set up your account with your SCHOOL EMAIL as your personal ID and a password you would like
If it asks you to REVALIDATE your account, enter the school username and password
IF YOU FORGET YOUR PASSWORD:
From the log in screen, click on FORGOT PASSWORD
Enter your school email
Go to your school email and click on the link provided to reset your password
(remember, this only changes your Noodletools password)

To start using Noodletools:
Once logged into Noodletools, click on +NEW PROJECT
Name your project, select MLA & Advanced, and click on submit
Click on the name of the project to start building your list of sources
To create a new citation, click on +NEW SOURCE (see directions below for citing common types of sources)
ONCE LIST IS COMPLETE, YOU CAN CREATE A WORKS CITED DOCUMENT
Click on PRINT/EXPORT to Google Docs
CREATE A SHARED LIST OF SOURCES WITH YOUR GROUP
One student in the group: Click on NEW PROJECT
On the main project page, look under SHARING and click on "+" AND "add students" to share the project with your partner(s)
Your group can then collaborate on building the works cited
Click on "new source" to make citations for all of your sources
Citation Directions for Common Types of Sources, including websites, images, online videos, databases, books, speeches, poems/essays/stories, films/movies, TV/Streaming shows, and government publications:

Fill out:
URL from your website (copy and paste)
Date Accessed (click TODAY to automatically fill in today’s date)
WEBPAGE or DOCUMENT/ARTICLE title (this is the name of the specific page you are on …. most likely, your topic)
NAME OF WEBSITE (this is the TITLE of the entire site where you are finding information)
Any additional information you can find
THEN CLICK SAVE to save the citation to your Noodletools list

Select WEBSITE -- PHOTO OR IMAGE (born digital)
Fill out:
Name of container website where image is found (NOT GOOGLE…actual website)
URL from your website (copy and paste)
Date Accessed (click TODAY to automatically fill in today’s date)
Type of image (select IMAGE from drop-down menu)
Title of image (provide a descriptive title)
Any additional information you can find
THEN CLICK SAVE to save the citation to your Noodletools list

Select WEBSITE -- VIDEO CLIP (online)
Fill out:
URL for the video (copy and paste)
Date of publication (the “posted” date on You Tube)
Date Accessed (click TODAY to automatically fill in today’s date)
TITLE of VIDEO (copy this directly from You Tube)
Name of Site (put You Tube if you used You Tube for your video)
Posted by (if a company or group, put this in Last Name)
Any additional information you can find
THEN CLICK SAVE to save the citation to your Noodletools list
Click on NEW SOURCE
Select PRINT or IN-HAND --- BOOK
Fill out:
Role - Author
Author's first and last name
Title of the Book
Publisher (this is often on the title page ..... the company that publishes the book)
Date of publication (this is often on the page after the title page.... you want the most recent date that you see listed)
THEN CLICK SAVE to save the citation to your Noodletools list
eBooks, Gale Databases, EBSCO Host databases, and Infobase databases:
These databases will allow you to export the citation directly to Noodletools
From the article, click on CITE/CITATION
Select NOODLETOOLS to export
A new tab will appear asking you to confirm that you want to import the citation. Click to IMPORT into your Noodletools project
Refresh your Noodletools source page and you should see the citation in your list
