This group class gets students from our singing, guitar, piano, violin etc lessons together to play rock and pop music. The teacher will select students to be part of these ensembles and they will meet once a week for band practice for 1-2 hours. Live performances and concerts and local venues will conclude each session.
After an initial period of learning their instrument, students are placed into a group class of like or mixed instruments. This is a very important part of the music making process. Making music is great, but making music with other people is even better. Each quarter ends with a performance that individuals and group classes participate in.
Just like instrument group classes, choirs will be created in which students can sing in mixed and unison type ensembles. Vocal instructors will place students from their respective studios in vocal groups that will maximize learning and performing potential. Students in choirs will perform at concerts at the end of each quarter.
