Legacy Coach - Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Legacy Coach app for iPhone and Apple Watch. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. WHO WE ARE
Legacy Coach is an app that provides estimated calorie targets, macro recommendations, workout plans and progress tracking. It is made by Stephen Connolly, trading as Legacy Coach, in Ireland. Contact: legacycoachsupport@gmail.com.
2. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
Legacy Coach is a coaching tool, not a medical product. The numbers it shows, including calories, macros, weight projections, cardio targets and deload suggestions, are estimates based on the information you enter. They are not designed for, and must not replace, advice from a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional.
Please consult a physician before starting any new diet or exercise plan, especially if you are pregnant, under 18, have a history of disordered eating, or have any medical condition affected by food, activity or weight change.
If you ever feel unwell while using the app, stop and seek medical help.
Legacy Coach is intended for people aged 16 and over.
3. YOUR ACCOUNT AND DATA
You can use Legacy Coach without an account. Your workouts, meals and progress photos are stored on your device, and you are responsible for backing up your device. Export in the app gives you a copy of your data, photos included, at any time.
If you sign in with Apple and agree to backup, your weigh-ins, check-ins and calorie targets are also stored on our servers, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can turn backup off, delete that data, or delete your account inside the app at any time.
4. SUBSCRIPTIONS
Premium features are unlocked by an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the Apple App Store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Where a free trial is offered, it is shown on the subscription screen before you start. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged the price shown.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings > your name > Subscriptions on your iPhone.
• Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. Apple bills it, so cancel it in Settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies.
We may change subscription prices for future renewal periods. Apple will notify you before any price change takes effect.

5. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or extract source code from the app
• Use the app in a way that could harm yourself or others
• Submit false, offensive or misleading entries to the shared food and exercise library
• Share screenshots or content from the app in a way that misrepresents its medical or clinical value
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Legacy Coach, the name, the logo and all original content in the app are owned by us. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own or control.
Product names and brands that appear in the food library, and names of events such as HYROX, belong to their owners and are used only to describe foods and training. Legacy Coach is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
7. THIRD PARTIES
The app works with these third-party services:
• Apple: App Store, StoreKit, Apple Health, Sign in with Apple and notifications. Your use of them is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.
• Supabase (supabase.com): hosts the shared food and exercise library and, only if you agree to backup, your weigh-ins and check-ins.
• Sentry (sentry.io): automatic crash reporting. A crash report contains technical details such as device model, iOS version and a stack trace. No name, email or health data is included.
• Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org): barcode lookups. Product data from Open Food Facts is available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
8. DISCLAIMER
We work hard to keep the app accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its estimates will suit your individual circumstances. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you started using the app.
10. TERMINATION
You can stop using the app and delete it at any time, and delete your account inside the app. We may suspend access to Premium features if you seriously breach these Terms.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
If we update these Terms, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, show a notice in the app before the changes take effect.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
