Legacy Coach - Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Legacy Coach iPhone app. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. WHO WE ARE
Legacy Coach is an iPhone app that provides estimated calorie targets, macro recommendations, workout plans, and progress tracking. We are a small independent developer. Contact: legacycoachsupport@gmail.com.
2. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
Legacy Coach is a coaching tool, not a medical product. The numbers it shows — calories, macros, weight projections, deload suggestions — are estimates based on the information you enter. They are not designed for, and must not replace, advice from a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified professional.
Please consult a physician before starting any new diet or exercise plan, especially if you are pregnant, under 18, have a history of disordered eating, or have any medical condition affected by food, activity, or weight change.
If you ever feel unwell while using the app, stop and seek medical help.
3. YOUR ACCOUNT AND DATA
Legacy Coach uses Sign in with Apple. All personal data you log is stored locally on your iPhone. You are responsible for backing up your device. We have no copy of your personal data and cannot recover it if you uninstall the app or lose your device without a backup.
4. SUBSCRIPTIONS
Premium features are unlocked by an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the Apple App Store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies.
We may change subscription prices for future renewal periods. You will be notified through the App Store before any price change takes effect.
COACH FEATURES
The Coach Pro tier is available for purchase. Some coach features — including team roster sync and client invite links — are currently in development and will be delivered in a future app update at no additional charge to active subscribers.
5. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Use the app in a way that could harm yourself or others
• Share screenshots or content from the app in a way that misrepresents its medical or clinical value
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Legacy Coach, the name, the logo, and all original content in the app are owned by us. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own.
7. THIRD PARTIES
The app integrates with the following third-party services:
• Apple — App Store, StoreKit, HealthKit, Sign in with Apple, and Notifications. Your use of those services is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.
• Sentry (sentry.io) — Used for automatic crash reporting. If the app crashes, a technical report containing device model, OS version, and stack trace is sent to Sentry to help us fix bugs. No personal data is included. See sentry.io/terms for Sentry's terms.
• Supabase (supabase.com) — When you add a food that isn't already in the shared library, its name, macros, and barcode are uploaded anonymously to a community catalogue. No personal data is attached. See supabase.com/terms for Supabase's terms.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the estimates it produces will be accurate for your individual circumstances.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the app, including any health-related outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
10. TERMINATION
You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to premium features if you breach these Terms.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
If we update these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app before the changes take effect.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. If you are a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
