Below is a compilation of the group of classmates who were reported as passing in 2024. There may be others we were not informed about, but this is the current list of those we know. Though they may no longer be with us, their memories will always remain.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne.

Let's take a few minutes to remember those classmates who are no longer with us. This week I have picked out two songs reflecting our feelings about our classmates we lost last year. The first song by Barbara Streisand encourages us to remember our activities with those we lost. The second song, by Willie Nelson, reflects how we might have lost personal touch with people through the years, but how we never forget them. Take a few minutes and listen to the words to both songs and let's use 2025 to stay in touch better than in the past.
This issue starts the 24th year of weekly Traveller publications. The first issue was published in 2001, designed as a method of communicating information about a pending reunion. Click on this link to see the Lee's Traveller Mission Statement.
Following the precedent established earlier, this first issue of the year is dedicated to those classmates who we lost in the previous year.
Perhaps we will be able to have another reunion this year, but no plans have been made yet. There is a SCAM Facebook posting on a reunion, designed to sell T-shirts which may or may not be delivered, but some of you have signed up for. That is not an official reunion notice and should be avoided with any links, shares, or comments.
I'd like to know what you think about the songs I picked for this week's issue. Are they appropriate? Comment below.
