Hello, my name is Leen Abu-Saif (lean, uh-boo-safe). I am a first generation Palestinian-American. As a senior Interior Design student at Georgia Southern University, I am a member of the Interior Design Association as well as the Arabic Club. I decided to pursue an Arabic Minor to refine my speaking and writing skills, after having been raised by parents who speak Arabic and English. As for Interior Design, I decided to test my affinity for design by studying an Intro class and was pleased by how many intricate layers are involved in design below the surface. Interior Design is a combination of a study of the environment, human ecology, and the arts-- which is why I love this profession. My designs are often minimal, laced with Earth tones, natural light and various textures to support optimal well-being. An environment that supports well-being to me, is one that is flexible, held to high standards and is considerate of all circumstances. I firmly believe that all design should enrich the health of not only the occupant but of the environment as well. With that in mind, I hope to practice at a firm that shares those beliefs. As a team player, helping others while building connections/collaborating with colleagues & clients are activities I most look forward to enjoying as a practicing Interior Designer. A few other activities I enjoy include weight lifting, painting and skateboarding. I am eager to be in an environment that supports my growth as a designer-- enabling me to support the growth of healthy communities.
