Our wedding reception packages are designed to give couples the time and flexibility they need to create a meaningful celebration. Reception rentals include access to the property on the day of event as soon as 8:00am for decorating and setup. On the day of your event, the bridal party will have access to a private dressing room area prior to and throughout the celebration.
For gatherings such as reunions, graduations, meetings, or celebrations, the venue can be reserved for flexible time blocks. The renter may bring their own vendors and customize their event to match their vision.
Every event is unique. We work with each renter to create a customized rental agreement tailored to the size, type, and needs of the event. Outside vendors and caterers are welcome with prior coordination.
To ensure every event at The Lighthouse at Leedstown runs smoothly and remains enjoyable for everyone, we’ve outlined a few important guidelines. These policies help protect the property, our guests, and the beautiful surroundings along the Rappahannock River in Westmoreland County, Virginia.
Standard event rates include up to 100 guests. If your event will exceed this number, please contact us to discuss options and availability.
Events may be scheduled until 10:00 PM. A 45-minute window following the event is provided for cleanup and departure so the property can be left in good condition.
Renters are welcome to bring their own vendors and caterers. Once selected, we ask that vendor contact information be provided so we can coordinate deliveries and event logistics.
Alcohol may be served at events; however, the renter is responsible for obtaining any required banquet license through the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority. A copy of the permit must be provided prior to the event and displayed during alcohol service. The renter is responsible for ensuring all alcohol laws are followed.
Renters are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance listing The Lighthouse at Leedstown as additionally insured. This can often be obtained through a homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy or through special event insurance.
Renters and caterers are responsible for removing trash, leftover food, and food preparation waste at the end of the event. The venue should be returned to the condition in which it was received.
Because the property is located on the river, guests should use caution near the water. There is no lifeguard or water supervision, and renters are responsible for the safety of their guests.
If you have any questions about these guidelines while planning your event, we’re happy to help. Our goal is to make your celebration enjoyable, stress-free, and memorable.
