We host a wide range of gatherings including wedding receptions, birthday parties, anniversaries, graduations, retirement parties, family reunions, fundraisers, vendor fairs, meetings, company events, and celebrations of life. If you have a special event in mind, we’d love to discuss how we can accommodate your needs.
Wedding reception events include access to the venue the day of the event, as early as 8:00AM for setup and decorating. Deliveries or vendor access prior to that time must be approved in advance.
For other types of events, setup and takedown time must be included within the rental timeframe
Yes. Wedding reception rentals include access to a private dressing room and restroom for the bridal party throughout the day. This space is reserved exclusively for the bridal party.
Standard event rates include up to 100 guests. If your event will exceed this number, please contact us to discuss options and availability.
Yes. Renters are welcome to bring their preferred vendors and caterers. We simply ask that you provide their contact information once they are selected so we can coordinate as needed.
Renters and their caterers are responsible for removing trash, leftover food, and food preparation waste at the end of the event. All cleanup must be completed shortly after the event concludes.
Alcohol may be served at events; however, the renter is responsible for obtaining a banquet license from the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority when required. A copy of the permit must be provided before the event and displayed during alcohol service. We strongly recommend having a designated server responsible for monitoring alcohol service throughout the event. The renter is responsible for ensuring all alcohol laws are followed.
Yes. Renters are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance showing The Lighthouse at Leedstown as an additional insured party. Many homeowner or renter insurance policies can provide this, or special event insurance can be purchased through your insurance provider.
A deposit and signed agreement are required to reserve your event date. The remaining balance is due prior to the event date according to the terms outlined in your contract.
Cancellations are subject to a timeline-based refund policy outlined in the rental agreement. Refund amounts vary depending on how far in advance the cancellation occurs.
Because the venue is located on the beautiful Rappahannock River in Westmoreland County, Virginia, guests should be mindful of the water and surrounding areas. There is no lifeguard or water supervision, so renters are responsible for monitoring guests and ensuring safety around the river and on the dock.
