“Wordwall activity transforms the Pythagorean theorem into a fun and interactive learning experience for children. In the game, students are given the lengths of two shorter sides of a right triangle and tasked with calculating the hypotenuse using the formula a² + b² = c². By employing the Pattern Recognition method, we help students understand the formula step by step and practice applying it in a variety of similar problems. Additionally, we incorporate Gagne’s “Performance and Practice” step to encourage students to analyze their errors and improve their skills through guided feedback. This hands-on, gamified approach not only reinforces their learning but also keeps them motivated and engaged. It makes mastering the Pythagorean theorem both enjoyable and effective.
