Why do I need a Google Account?

Use Gmail for emails
Access the Internet on Chrome
Find places with Google Maps
Watch videos on YouTube
Translate languages with Google Translate
Use Google Meet for job interviews or talk to family back at home for free

Opening a Google Account
Open a web browser (like Google Chrome)on your smartphone or computer.
Go to www.google.com.
Click on “Sign In” (at the top right). You may also see add another account if you already have one Google account.
Click on “Create Account.”
Select “ For Your Personal Use”
Enter your First Name and Last Name.
Fill in your birthdate and your gender.
Choose a Username (this will be your email, like example@gmail.com). You may make up your own or use one they suggest.
Create a Password and type it again to confirm.
Click “Next.”
Enter your Phone Number. Google may send a code by text message to verify it's you.
Enter the code you received and click “Verify.”
Skip adding a recovery email address.
Review your account information to be sure it is correct.
Read Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Click “I Agree.”
You can use Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Google Maps, and other Google services.
Remember your email and password to log in.
