A Book Kit blends the use of a book with primary sources to support students':
skill development of critical thinking and inquiry;
understanding of an event, place, and people in a specific time period;
skill development across disciplines; and
ability to engage and connect to their own learning.
A primary source is an original source created in a specific time and place being studied, such as a photograph, journal entry, or drawing.
Each Book Kit includes a:

Primary source(s) with a graphic organizer
Simple hands-on activity to help students connect to their own learning
Reading level of book and suggested grade levels for activities; activities can be modified to meet learners' needs.
