Bradley Marshall is a graduate from the University of Melbourne, Australia, with a Bachelors Degree in Science.
Naturally curious and academic, he's always loved questioning the meaning behind everything.
When the doctors told him there was no cure for eczema, he knew he had to find a solution!
The advantage of being born with eczema is knowing nothing else.
That is, there was no period of wellness beforehand. Just the pain.
While it was devastating, I didn't know what the freedom of health felt like.
Until now that is.
Today, and for over a year now, I have completely resolved all my skin issues. I live a normal life!
It is something the childhood me could only dream of.
The Glove on my left hand is to keep me from scratching.
I knew the other kids didn’t share my pain, so I tried my best to hide it from them.
I wore long pants in the summer when everyone else wore shorts and I’d be the only kid sitting on the side when everyone else was in the pool.
I was different, but that didn’t mean I didn’t fit in.
In primary school, as I played with my best friends, a group of older kids approached me.
“Hey,” the bigger one said as he gripped my shoulder.
“What’s wrong with your face?”
I looked down at my feet.
“It’s eczema.”
"Man", they exclaimed, staring at me in wonder.
I was never upset or resentful... it was just life.
When I got home, my pants would be pasted to my skin.
My wounds would ooze throughout the day, and so, taking them off meant ripping off the skin.
Immediately, my skin would bleed and weep.
Life was hard.
At night, my dad would wrap my body with wet bandages.
The doctor called them wet dressings.
It was supposed to seal in moisture which apparently healed the skin.
I liked to think it worked.
In the morning, I'd put my school uniform on over fresh bandages.
But by lunchtime, they were debilitatingly itchy.
I'd come home to my dad, and despite my stoicism, occasionally there'd be tears streaming down my face.
"They have no idea," I cried.
"They laugh at me at school saying I've got knits."
For 26 years I was left in the dark. Most people still are sadly.
It was only until I took my health into my own hands that I was finally able to heal.
The steps I've learnt and the research I've done is now what I want to share with you in this course.
So that you can heal too.
We all deserve to be happy and healthy.
