I also received a Masters degree in Special Education specializing in learning disabilities at Southern Connecticut State University in 2019. I am currently attending the University of Bridgeport in obtaining a 6th Year degree in Educational Leadership and 092 certification.
LDA of Connecticut, Treasurer
I’m currently a sixth-grade general education teacher in Connecticut. My undergraduate work focused on history and English. I received my M.A. in Teaching and Foundations with a focus on literacy and special education. My work in graduate school and as a teacher sparked my inspiration for becoming involved in LDA and I hope to continue supporting learners across Connecticut through our ongoing collaboration.
Learning Disabilities of Connecticut (LDA CT) was first organized in December of 2019. Over the last few years, LDA CT's membership and name recognition has been increasing and numerous partnerships have been developed.
LDA CT is a state affiliate organization of the national Learning Disabilities Association of America. LDA CT is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that uses membership dues and donations to support children and adults with learning disabilities. In addition, LDA CT has partnered with and supports various programs through the Connecticut Department of Aging and Disabilities Services, the Healthy Children Project, State and private colleges and universities, other disability advocate organizations and various school districts and regional centers across the state. Community support for all individuals with learning disabilities is a major component of our organization's mission.
