Library: Welcome to a new school year! It was wonderful meeting with your kids this week and chatting about our favorite book characters. Next week we will be reading Luna Loves Library Day and will participate in a few movement songs!
Music: Welcome to Preschool Music! It was a joy to meet your children at Orientation this week. I look forward to having class with them! For our first Music class, we will be finding our seats, learning the rules in Music class, and moving through shared space by walking, galloping, jumping, tip-toeing, and running.
Spanish: Hola! Bienvenidos! It was great to meet everyone this week. We will start our school year working on routines and our morning son “Buenos dias”. We learned about colors this week (rojo, azul, verde). We will continue to review these colors and start learning numbers 1-5.
PE: Welcome everyone. It’s going to be a fun year in PE. We will start the year with learning some safety rules as well as throwing small objects with one hand and catching with two.
SEL: Hi families! We’re Tiffani Brown, the school counselor, and Lauren Spring, the counseling intern. We’ll be visiting classrooms every other month to teach social-emotional skills like understanding feelings, making friends, and solving problems. Updates from SEL won’t be weekly, but we’ll share highlights ahead of each visit. We’re excited to support your kiddos in growing confidence, kindness, and a sense of belonging!

STEM: Hi everyone! It’s Mrs. Reeves, and I am the PS-K STEM Teacher! This week, we read Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert, explored the differences between bulbs and seeds, investigated flower bulbs more closely, and planted our very own rainbow of flower bulbs in the Preschool Garden! PE: With the weather cooling down, we will be heading out onto the cross country course next week. Please be sure to prepare accordingly with correct footwear (tennis shoes, sneakers) and bug spray if you feel it necessary.
