Welcome to my Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) showcase! Over the course of my time in the program, I have completed many projects, assignments, and essays. On this page, you will find samples of my work from my two years in the program. My work samples fall into three categories: technology integration into lessons, creativity backed by research-based best practices, and leadership skills within the school environment. These three areas are essential to my future work within a technology coach position, which is why I chose to focus on the development of these skills within my program. Please click on the image above each artifact to explore the project further.
In this section, the three artifacts that I have chosen show off the skill of technology integration. The artifacts below show a carefully curated set of resources implemented within educational content. Throughout my time in MAET, my biggest feat has been discovering and vetting useful and purposeful technology resources to aid students in learning, which are shown throughout these artifacts.
I enjoyed the challenge of selecting useful and purposeful technology to aid in the teaching of content knowledge. Within this webpage, I revised my district-provided curriculum to become technology-rich, while still meeting the common core standards. This artifact also shows my ability to creatively implement project-based learning summative assessment that allows students to demonstrate their 21st Century Skills in communication and technology literacy.
On this Google Classroom page, I created an online publishing platform based on the Units of Study feature article unit. In this artifact, I demonstrate implement technology into the curriculum through student collaboration and reflection, as well as delivering content knowledge.

While learning a new skill is never the easiest, learning about new applications is a necessary struggle in the technology world. In this blog post, I had the challenge of incorporating a maker space tool into a lesson that allowed students to play with the tool, while also meeting the lesson's standards. In this artifact, I demonstrate my ability to use a combination of technology and creativity to aid student critical thinking skills, as well as demonstrate proficiency in content knowledge.
In this section, the three artifacts that I have chosen show off the skill of creativity. I believe that resources without creativity lead to nowhere. In these creations, I show my ability to innovatively think about concepts and shape them into a new, useful product.
Part of being creative is critically analyzing minuscule aspects of a topic and using these aspects to approach the topic in new ways. On this website, I divulge the process of rethinking the way we think about fractions. This mindset shift is based on the strategies within the book Sparks of Genius. In this artifact, I show my ability to creatively reframe academic concepts and communicate my creations using technology to engage my viewers.
One task I thought I would never have to do during my graduate career is to use unconventional kitchen tools to create a fruit salad. This unconventional task is backed by the framework of Technology, Pedagogy, and Content Knowledge, or TPACK. In this artifact, I demonstrate my technology knowledge, communication skills, and creativity to use tools in an innovative way. I did this by creating a blog-style video to document the process, then reflected on the task itself in the written blog.
On this website, I used research surrounding creativity as a rationale to support best practices within the classroom. This artifact shows my creativity in ways to communicate information to viewers in an engaging way while using technology, as well as problem-solve issues within the classroom. I presented these best practices in ways that could be easily understood and implemented by colleagues. This artifact also demonstrates my leadership skills through the advocacy of best practices.
In this section, the three artifacts that I have chosen show off the skill of leadership. In my future endeavors, part of my job will be to advocate for the best interests of educators and students in order to use research-based best practices. These artifacts show the beginnings of advocating for lifelong learning within the classroom.
Part of being a leader in the educational community is reframing ideas in a new light. In this presentation, I created a professional development session on how to incorporate creativity into the classroom in a realistic way. This artifact shows my leadership to provoke my audience to think in new ways, my communication skills to share information in an engaging way, and my creativity to lead my audience through a set of activities to challenge their thinking.
In this presentation, I created an interactive introduction to the idea of cognitive load. In this artifact, I demonstrate the creativity to develop an infographic that effectively shares the information within the presentation, my technology integration skills to incorporate interactive links within the presentation, and my leadership skills to demonstrate competency in a skill to be presented to other professionals.
Within any field, there will always be challenges that leaders need to solve. In this blog post, I researched the "great migration" of teachers within the past decade and how it is impacting schools. In this artifact, I demonstrate my technology knowledge by embedding multimedia pieces within the presentation, my problem-solving skills by researching an issue and proposing a solution, and my leadership skills by advocating for the needs of educators and students.
