Clinical experiences — *Failure to complete clinical experience will result in failure of course
Each teacher candidate will be assigned to a specific middle school or high school classroom to spend approximately 40 hours each week for a total of approximately 200 hours as a pre-service classroom teacher/participant.
The field experience is graded Pass/Fail. A background check is required prior to the field experience. The background check can be obtained through CastleBranch and information can be found on Canvas. You are also required to complete the EduRisk training found on Canvas.
In addition to the field experience, you are required to complete an intentional observation each week and summarize your weekly experience using the field experience log format noted below.
You will submit this field experience log after EACH week of your field placement using this discussion board and posting to your portfolio Google site (This may vary due to unforeseen circumstances or altered schedules such as a weather delay or early dismissal)
Please note the intentional observation topic for each experience. There may be episodes that are exclusive to your experience and we want you to have the opportunity to reflect and debrief these experiences.
