Early Bird Registration for TLS 2026 will open on February 9, 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis and will close on March 15, 2026. Regular registration will begin on March 16, 2026, and close on April 12, 2026, or at sellout. There will be no on-site registration.
NOTE: hotels closest to Convention Center fills up first. Make your reservations early!

Focus will be on French and S[panish Colonial Louisiana Era history in alignment with LDOE's latest sixth-grade social studies standards and America's semiquincentennial
$250 stipend to all participants on completion of 3 day workshop and paid parking
Will provide hotel accommodations and mileage reimbursement for participants traveling more than 60 miles from New Orleans

There is a $200 registration fee to attend the Teacher Symposium that is non-refundable after June 15, 2026.There is an additional optional $345 fee for room and board on campus at Gettysburg College in single, air-conditioned rooms. All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a total of eleven meals) are included in this fee. Participants are responsible for their own travel and transportation costs.
