What great things are Louisiana Social Studies Teachers doing?

March 20-22, 2026 - Three Louisiana Teachers attended the opening weekend for the Sphere Fellowship program. They were selected through a highly competitive process to become Fellows for the Sphere Institute. They are:

Jared Major - Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet School, Baton Rouge
Michelle Molina - Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, Kenner
Mary Brower - Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts, Opelousas

Jared advanced in the selection process, earning a spot among 12 projects out of 50 to be presented to a panel of judges. His innovative idea received recognition, and Jared was awarded a $250 prize for his project.
